who are we?

Hatch Design + Construction is a small build and design team currently operating from Inverloch on the Bass Coast of Victoria. We developed a passion for concrete after completing a renovation project in Melbourne - and are now offering similar products from this project based on the overwhelming feedback and positive response we received. We are currently installing kitchen bench-tops and delivering our vanities and tables within Melbourne Metro, Bass Coast and South Gippsland regions. We can ship our smaller concrete basins Australia-wide.

why concrete?

We believe design that is a part of everyday life should be highly functional, aesthetically pleasing, tactile, as organic as possible, sustainable and robust. When we were working on our recent project in Northcote, Melbourne, we wanted a seamless bench top for the 4.5m island bench pictured to the left. We started investigating, learning, experimenting and working with concrete and were thrilled with the end result. It makes a statement, is a breeze to maintain, is suitable for withstanding everyday life and will stand the test of time. Simple, clean, neutral, minimal design which is organic in nature - will never date! All the pieces and products we offer, are designed with this ethos in mind!
